Be recognized by, and recognize your peers.  Stay current and focused on what you need to know.

You'll get the most out of your membership if you invest time into helping committees stay active and innovative.  Our committees implement the strategic plan for the Chapter.  From programs to publications to legislative activity, committee members provide the strength that enables the Chapter to meet the needs of its member communities in the DFDW area.

Some of the benefits:

  2. Establish yourself and your company as a leader in the community association industry
  3. Keep abreast of changes, trends and developments in the community association industry
  4. Recognition among peers for outstanding work and volunteerism
  5. Share knowledge and experiences to create quality programs & services to improve the community association industry

Communications

Directory Committee: Responsible for compiling Annual Membership Directory, including advertising sales and confirmation of current and correct information.

Magazine Committee: Responsible for the planning and development of content for the Chapter's quarterly magazine.  The committee identifies topics and appropriate content and identifies and recruits appropriate authors and contributors.

Education

Expo and Trade Show Committee: Responsible for the overall development and management of the Trade Show including recruiting exhibitors and sponsors and promotion of the event. The Trade Show Committee works in conjunction with the Education Committee to develop Conference seminars.

High Rise Manager's Forum:  Responsible for creating a one-day program addressing the specific needs of High Rise Managers

Programming Committee: Charged with the development, promotion and presentation of educational programs, including ABCs for Association Leaders, Advanced ABCs, Legislative Update & Professional Forum and Employment Seminar for the Chapter membership, paying particular attention to the needs of each of the interest groups.  In addition, the Programming Committee coordinates Conference seminars with the Trade Show Committee.


Legislative

Government Affairs Committee: Responsible for identifying legislative issues of importance to common interest communities in the specific jurisdiction of the committee.  This includes local, regional, statewide and federal legislation.  Assists the leaders of Texas Community Association Advocates.
 

Member Services

Ambassadors of Fun: This dynamic committee lends support to multiple committees, including monthly themes for our educational luncheons, arranging happy hours and small get togethers, the Annual Bowling Tournament, and more.

Membership Committee:  Explores opportunities to promote CAI to new members, welcomes joining members and describes services, contacts existing members to ensure membership satisfaction, follows up with lapsed members to bring them back into membership.

Social Committee: Identifies, coordinates and promotes our Annual Golf Tournament and other networking events.

All Committee Volunteers are asked to please have an Acknowledgement of Responsibilities signed by themselves and their supervisor before beginning their duties.  If you are interested in serving as a Committee Chair, you will also need the Chair Acknowledgement Form signed, as well as a supervisor's approval.
