Over the last 10 years, the number of community associations has grown significantly. In the Metroplex, municipalities are recognizing the benefits of community associations, including increased property values, safer streets, and beautiful neighborhoods. As more potential homeowners explore community association living for the first time, they need to understand their rights, responsibilities, and the beneifts of their community.
Episode 1 of "Community Contact" discusses some of the common challenges to first time homeowners in community associations, and what changes are being spearheaded by CAI to help potential home buyers understand the dynamics of community association living.
Our guest for this episode is Judi Phares, PCAM, CEO of RTI/Community Management Associates, Inc., AAMC. Ms. Phares is the Chairman of the National Board of Certification for Community Association Managers and has over 20 years experience in the community management field.
