Programming Committee

Secure speakers and supervise events for January, February, March, April, May, June, September, October, November, December, and other events as needed.

This powerhouse committee sets the tone for all our educational events during the year.  A member must be committed before agreeing to serve on this committee, as it provides a valuable and recurrent service to the Chapter.

Duties include:

  • Research and select topics, engage speakers for the topics
  • Present topics and speakers to the Board in Monthly Report for approval.
  • Gather biographical information about speaker
  • Provide speaker with speaking guidelines, discuss with speaker to clarify any questions or issues
  • Gather promotional information for program advertising flyer
  • Confirm speaker needs and speaker requirements such as audio/visual needs; handouts and the like.        
  • At least 1 month before each educational luncheon, Programming Chair will create and provide to Chapter a promotional flyer for distribution to members.
  • Notify Chapter Office of speaker’s audio/visual needs.
  • Provide timely magazine article for quarterly publication to the Magazine Committee Chair.
  • Send thank you letters to speakers after the event.
  • Attend as many educational events as employer will allow, assisting in set up, registration, and break down of event.
